There’s a Monster in Your Show is adapted from the well known Who’s in Your Book? picture book series created by Tom Fletcher and illustrated by Greg Abbott. The books are famous for breaking the fourth wall, encouraging children to blow, shake or tap the pages. The stage version carries that spirit into a live setting with playful participation, warm humour and a clear focus on the joy of reading and friendship.
The story follows a group of performers who are ready to begin their show, only to find Little Monster bouncing into the spotlight. Monster wants to take part, and with help from Dragon, Alien and Unicorn, the group set out to build a magical show together. Their journey offers gentle lessons about imagination, teamwork and the pleasure of sharing stories.
The musical runs for about 50 minutes and is shaped as an early introduction to theatre.
