Based on the 2010 film Burlesque, which starred Christina Aguilera and Cher, Burlesque the Musical reimagines the story for the stage under the guidance of writer and director Steven Antin. At its heart is Ali, a young woman determined to uncover the truth about her past while forging a future in a competitive and seductive performance world. Her journey through the underground club scene explores themes of identity, ambition, loyalty and resilience.
The musical features a score that combines songs from Aguilera alongside new and additional material by acclaimed writers including Sia, Diane Warren, Jess Folley and Todrick
Produced with Aguilera as executive producer alongside Adam Paulden, Jason Haigh-Ellery, Steven Antin, Clint Culpepper and In Fine Company, the show continues to evolve as it embarks on this new UK tour.
