Written by Willy Russell, Blood Brothers premiered in Liverpool in 1983 before moving to the West End, where it ran for over 10,000 performances. The musical explores how upbringing shapes lives, using a mix of folk, pop and storytelling to trace the fate of two brothers divided by circumstance. Its narrator guides the tale with a haunting presence, making each scene build towards its tragic end.
