Moulin Rouge! The Musical opened on Broadway in 2019, based on Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film. With a book by John Logan and direction by Alex Timbers, it quickly became a critical and commercial success. It won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and later opened in London’s West End in 2021.
