Something Rotten! brings laughter, songs and dance to the Renaissance as Nick and Nigel Bottom struggle for theatrical fame while the rock star of the period, William Shakespeare, dominates the stage. The show makes its UK fully staged premiere with Jason Manford starring.

The show premiered on Broadway in 2015, with a book by John O’Farrell and Karey Kirkpatrick, and music and lyrics by Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick. Set in 1595 London, it centres on the Bottom brothers- Nick, an ambitious playwright, and Nigel, his hopeful younger sibling - who find themselves overshadowed by the larger-than-life Shakespeare.
The original Broadway run earned ten Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, and won for Best Featured Actor (Christian Borle as Shakespeare).
