Waitress
Waitress centres on Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker stuck in a difficult marriage, who dreams of a new life. With a mix of humour and heart, the show explores friendship, courage and finding one’s voice, all set to Bareilles’ moving pop-infused score.

Based on the 2007 film written by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress features music and lyrics by Grammy winner Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson. The show premiered on Broadway in 2016, earning multiple Tony nominations, before transferring to London’s West End in 2019. Its blend of heartfelt storytelling, female-led perspective and melodic pop score made it a critical and audience favourite.
The musical celebrates everyday courage and the importance of friendship, featuring standout songs such as "She Used to Be Mine" and "Opening Up". Touring productions have maintained its intimate charm while reaching new audiences. The current UK tour preserves its warmth and honesty, offering an uplifting evening of music and humanity.
